Paper Plate Bunny Easter Bag
Looking for a quick and easy craft to make with your kids this Easter? Why not try making this cute bunny bag using paper plates.
To make your own bunny bag, you will need the following craft supplies:
- 2 Paper Plates
- White paper/card
- Pink paper/card
- Black felt tip pen
- Colour pencils / felt tip pens
- Glue Stick/ PVA glue
- Hole punch
To make your bunny bag you will need 2 paper plates. The back plate should be left whole and facing up.
The front plate will be the face of the bunny. Start with your plate face down, and cut the plate about 1/3 from the top.
Using felt tip pens or colour pencils, draw your bunny a face.
Glue your face plate to the back plate, by spreading glue along the outer edge of the plate. This will create a pocket for your Easter eggs or treasures to fit inside. You could also choose to staple the plates together.
I used PVA glue to join my plates together. To help them bond together nicely, I put pegs around the edge of the plate while the glue dried.
Time to make your bunny some ears. To make your ears cut 2 ear shapes from white paper or card. Cut 2 smaller ears shapes from pink paper or card and glue these on the inside of the white paper.
Glue your bunny ears to the back of the back plate.
Now your bunny head is complete, it’s time to make your bunny into a bag by adding a strap. Make some holes for your strap to attach to, by hole punching both sides of your bunny head, just below where the 2 plates join together.
Make your strap from some ribbon, cord or wool. Decorate your strap with some pretty beads.
Attach your strap to your bunny head by tying the ribbon through the hole punched holes.
Your bunny bag is now ready for collecting some Easter eggs or for carrying your special treasures. We loved making our bunny bag. It was such a quick and easy way to add some fun to Easter.
