Rocking Paper Plate UFO

In our house, we love outer space. Planets and galaxies far, far away, and stargazing in our own backyard. If you love space as much as we do, you will love making this cute rocking paper plate UFO.

To make your own unidentified flying object, you will need:

Supplies

• Paper plate
• Colour paper
• Felt tip pens
• Grey lead pencil
• Scissors
• Craft knife

Step 1

Make your flying saucer. To make your UFO, you will need 1 paper plate. Using a small bowl as a guide, place the bowl on the paper plate, and cut around the top half of the bowl with a craft knife. Fold the plate in half, by folding the top edge that has been cut behind the bottom edge. Make sure not to fold the circle.

Step 2

Decorate your UFO. Using felt tip pens, pencils or paint decorate your flying saucer. I drew my outlines in black felt tip pens and then coloured it in. I chose to leave my circle white, but you might like to colour yours in.

Step 2

Make your alien. Using colour paper cut out shapes for your alien, and glue your pieces inside the circle section of your UFO. I used a green circle for my body and black and white circles for my eye. I also cut out a little green antenna for my alien. You can use any shapes you would like, or you might like to draw your alien instead.
